Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 17, 2026
At ResizeAny, we believe your images, documents, photos, and signatures belong exclusively to you. Unlike traditional online converters that upload your files to remote cloud servers, ResizeAny performs all resizing, compression, and format conversions 100% locally inside your web browser.
1. 100% In-Browser Client-Side Processing Architecture
ResizeAny is built entirely on modern web standards, including HTML5 Canvas, the File API, and client-side WebAssembly (Wasm). When you select or drag and drop an image into our tool:
- The image binary data is read directly into your device's local memory (RAM).
- All resampling, aspect ratio recalculations, crops, and compression steps are executed on your device's CPU/GPU.
- The resulting resized image is generated as a local Blob or Object URL for immediate download.
- Zero bytes of your image data are ever transmitted across the internet to our servers or any third-party infrastructure.
2. Absolute Zero Data Retention
Because we do not operate an image processing server or cloud storage bucket, it is technically impossible for us to store, inspect, view, or retain your files. Once you refresh your browser tab, navigate away, or close your window, all temporary image data in your device's active memory is automatically cleared.
3. Sensitive Documents & Personal Identity Security
Our local-first architecture makes ResizeAny completely safe for processing sensitive documents, including:
Passports, visas, national ID cards, driver licenses, and birth certificates.
Digital signatures, company stamps, and notarized application documents.
4. No Account Required & No Personal Identifiable Information (PII)
ResizeAny does not require user registration, email sign-ups, passwords, or credit card information. We do not maintain user databases, nor do we correlate your visits across other websites.
5. Cookies, Local Storage & Analytics
We respect your digital privacy. We use Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) to measure anonymous site traffic. It sets cookies and sends your IP address and usage data to Google, but only if you click “Accept” in the cookie pop-up. If you click “Deny”, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is sent. Your choice is saved in your browser (localStorage) and you can change it at any time: .
- Browser Storage: We use basic client-side localStorage to remember your cookie choice and your interface preferences (such as preferred theme or default dimension unit). No personal information is stored.
- Analytics (consent-based): Google Analytics 4 runs only after you accept. It may set the cookies
_gaand_ga_*. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking pixels, or data-broker integrations. - Web Server Logs: Standard HTTP server logs may record basic diagnostic information (such as your browser user agent and requested page URL) solely for operational uptime and security diagnostics. These logs do not contain user files.
6. Compliance with International Privacy Regulations (GDPR & CCPA)
Your images are never collected, stored, or processed on our servers. The only personal data that may be processed is the analytics data described above (cookie identifiers and IP address, handled by Google), and only with your consent, which you can refuse or withdraw at any time. Under the GDPR you also have the right to access, rectify, and erase your data and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority; contact us below to exercise these rights. We do not sell personal information under the CCPA.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect technical improvements or organizational changes. Any modifications will be posted directly on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
