This page lets you set any target file size in kilobytes. Use it when a form, portal or email system names a limit in KB and none of the preset sizes matches exactly.

In the editor, type your limit into the target file size box, keep the dimensions on Auto, and the tool lowers quality and, when needed, pixel size until the file fits.

How the presets in this category work

Each preset below fills in a ready-made value, so you can skip typing it. Open any of them, add your photo, and the editor shows the settings already applied. You can still change every value before downloading: the preset is a starting point, not a lock.

If your exact value does not exist as a preset, use this page to enter your own. The result is processed in your browser with Lanczos-3 resampling for scaling, and is never uploaded.

How to resize an image in KB

  1. Add your image. Select a photo or drag it onto the box above. JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC and BMP files are accepted, and the file stays on your device.
  2. Enter your size. Type the width and height you need and choose the unit. The aspect-ratio lock keeps the proportions unless you turn it off.
  3. Download the result. Click resize and save the file.

Frequently asked questions

How is a KB defined here?▼
The tool uses 1 KB = 1,024 bytes. Some systems use 1,000 bytes, so leave a small margin under a strict limit.
Why does the result sometimes end up well below my target?▼
The tool looks for the highest quality that fits. Small differences in quality can change the file by several KB, so the result may land slightly under the limit rather than exactly on it.
Can I change the preset values after opening the editor?▼
Yes. A preset only pre-fills the width, height, unit or target size. Every field stays editable, so you can start from the closest preset and adjust it.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?▼
No. ResizeAny decodes, resizes and re-encodes your picture inside your browser tab, so a photo you prepare for a KB resize never leaves your device. You can confirm this in your browser's developer tools: the Network tab shows no upload request while you work.
