This preset applies different scales to each axis: 200% to the width and 175% to the height. Because the two values differ, the picture is stretched horizontally by 14%. That is useful for deliberate distortion or to correct a stretched image, but not for ordinary resizing.

Percentage resizing is relative, so every image keeps its own proportions and no target size has to be worked out in advance.

What 200% × 175% does to common images

A larger image means a larger file, roughly in proportion to the number of pixels. Expect it to grow by up to 250%.

Before you enlarge

Enlarging to 200% × 175% creates pixels the camera never captured. The tool interpolates between neighboring pixels, so edges and text get softer the further you go. A scale up to about 150% is usually tolerable for photos viewed at normal size; beyond that, look for the original or a higher-resolution version.

If the larger image is for print, check the pixel count against the print size first (pixels ÷ DPI = inches). Doubling the width and height quadruples the number of pixels but not the amount of detail.

When percentage resizing makes sense

  • A mixed folder of portrait and landscape photos where each should keep its own shape.
  • A quick shrink for email or messaging when you have no target in mind.
  • Enlarging a small graphic by a whole factor, though results get softer the further you go.
  • Repeating the same change across a batch, using the bulk resizer.

How to resize an image to 200x175%

  1. Add your image. Select a photo or drag it onto the box above. JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC and BMP files are accepted, and the file stays on your device.
  2. Apply 200% × 175%. The preset scales width and height to 200% × 175% of the original. Each image keeps its own proportions relative to its size.
  3. Download the result. Click resize and save. Check the new pixel dimensions and file size in the preview before downloading.

Frequently asked questions

What does resizing an image to 200% × 175% mean?▼
Width is scaled to 200% and height to 175%. A 4000 × 3000 photo becomes 8000 × 5250 pixels, and its proportions change.
Will the file size also be 200%?▼
No. File size follows the pixel count, which here is 350% of the original, and also depends on format and image detail. Treat it as an approximate guide, not an exact figure.
Why are width and height different?▼
The preset applies unequal scales on purpose, so the picture will look stretched. For a normal resize, use a preset where both values are equal, or a fixed size with the aspect-ratio lock on.
Do I need an account, and does it add a watermark?▼
No account and no watermark. Open the page, add your photo, and download the result. Because processing happens on your own device, there is no queue and nothing to wait for, even with a large original.
