ID, Card & Document Image Sizes
ID photos, cards and documents have physical sizes that must be exact. A passport-style photo, an ID card or a badge photo is often rejected for being the wrong size, shape or resolution, and private images are exactly the kind you should not upload to a random site.
Everything here runs in your browser: the photo never leaves your device. Each preset sets one exact size and the page explains the conversion to pixels, the standard when one applies (for example the ID-1 card size shared by credit cards and many ID cards), and what to check before submitting. Requirements differ by country and organization, so follow the specification of whoever will receive the photo.
Tips for this category
- Follow the issuer's own photo rules first. This tool sets the size; it does not check head position, background or expression.
- Export at 300 DPI if the photo will be printed, and as JPG if a portal asks for a small file.
- If the portal also limits file size, resize to the dimensions first and then apply a file-size preset.
