Resize Image to Exact Pixel Dimensions

Pixels are the unit screens understand. An avatar, an email header or a product tile is usually specified as a width and height in pixels, and being a few pixels off can mean a rejected upload or a blurry result.

Each page below sets one exact output size and explains it: the aspect ratio, how many megapixels it is, how large it prints, and how much of your photo needs to be cropped to fit without distortion.

Tips for this category

  • If your photo has a different aspect ratio than the target, crop first so nothing gets stretched.
  • Shrinking looks good; enlarging past the original size only adds softness.
  • For pixel-perfect assets such as icons, export as PNG so edges stay crisp.
